FRENCH SCHOOL 18th CENTURY , MINIATURE PORTRAIT OF AN ACTRESS OR A CANTATOR (NAMED ON REVERSE), LOUIS XVI PERIOD

Original chiseled silver frame.

The miniature carries on the reverse an identification difficult to read. By casting the cliché we can guess "Mme Ponssin...", would it be a portrait of the muse of Greuze, Mme Porcins or Montaigne de Poncins (following the very changing spellings of the time)?
