Antonine ODERIEUX (1857-1908) is a miniaturist whose rare works deserve to be rediscovered. A gifted portraitist, she was a pupil of Chaplin, whose she know how to capture sensuality. Her portraits of women (I don’t know any of man), are imbued with a very disturbing charm "end of century". She exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1877, the Rouen Museum (her hometown) keeps miniatures of her hand. TECHNIQUE:
