Fine miniature portrait by Louis-Lié Perin-Salbreux (1753-1817) , dating of the end of the 18th century.

Portrait of a young man with a blue jacket, in a garden.

Even there, Périn knew how to give to his model, a smile full of kindness, an expression of unique serenity, talent that he shares with his great friend the painter Alexandre Roslin.

The garden is, by its virtuoso technique, a foretaste of the future impressionism.

Miniature signed below on the right : Perin.

In its beautiful gold frame, of time, with, on reverse,  an exceptional work of monogram of hair, surrounded of small circling birds.

This miniature was exhibited in Reims in 2020, during the Périn-Salbreux exhibition (Le Vergeur museum), which presented for the first time assembled works by Périn from the Louvre, Versailles and private collections.
