DESCRIPTION :

Important miniature by Pierre Daubigny, probably from a pair, man's portrait of which carried the signature. Another exactly identical version, with its signed counterpart , was exposed in 1926 to the exhibition Louis-Philippe. They are now  in the collection E.P.S. (Switzerland).

Daugigny seems to be customary to deliver his works in several versions because we already had, repeatedly, two versions of works signed by his hand.
