Cécile VILLENEUVE (1824-1901), MINIATURE PORTRAIT IN LARGE GOLD BRACELET CLASP, 1853
Rare miniature dating of begining of Cécile Villeneuve's career. Pupil of Léon Cogniet, and then of François Meuret (who the influence is very present here), Cécile Villeneuve is considered, rightly, as the most talented of the last miniaturists of the 19th century. This beautiful portrait of the beginning of the reign of Napoleon III, is a magnificent example. Net Weigt gold : 40gTECHNIQUE:
