Bernard DUVIGEON, MINIATURE PORTRAIT OF LOUIS, DUC D'ORLEANS, 1725
Duvigeon was one of most talented artist of first part of 18th century. Painter to the King Louis XV and to the Duc d' Orleans. Most of his miniatures disappeared now , we have here a rare exemple in this portrait of Louis, Duc d'Orleans, signed on reverse of velum: "painted by Duvigeon the younger 1725" A version in large was painted by Alexis Simon Belle in 1725.TECHNIQUE:
