Importante miniature of the end of the 18th century by Louis-Ami Arlaud Jurine, signed on the right : Arlaud A young woman wearing a wide straw hat, pose on a slope. Her dress and her capeline are held with blue ribbons. Her left hand strolls back on her knees. Arlaud resumes by modifying the pause, the composition of several miniatures he painted at that time, one of which is in the collections of the Cognacq-Jay Museum (Paris), and another at the Wallace Collection (London). The melancholic expression that Arlaud liked to give to his sitter, is very characteristic and "sign" in a way, his miniatures.TECHNIQUE:
