Miniature of the second half of the XVIIIeme century, by Lioux de Savignac. In a wood's edge, arises a hunt pursuing a deer. the "piqueurs" liveried, ring in their horns, the mort, surrounded with their dogs. They indicate the animal to a rcavalier in blue dress : center of all the attentions ... and colored pictorial center of the miniature. The deer tries to cross a river. Far off, a bridge leads to a city, away in the mists. The miniature is mounted on a precious tortoiseshell and gold box (punches).TECHNIQUE:
