Fine miniature portrait by Reginald Easton, painted by 1850. Portrait says of Francis Hastings (family tradition), doubtless Francis POWER PLANTAGENET HASTINGS, 14th earl OF HUNTINGDON (1841-1885) .

Reginald Easton was one of the best miniaturists of his generation. Painter of the aristocracy and to the royal family, he made, among others, a portrait of Queen Victoria, which kept in her collections numerous portraits painted by Reginald Easton. He exhibited in Royal Academy from 1835 till 1887. Stylisticaly he was Mrs Cécile Villeneuve's English counterpart, celebrates Parisian miniaturist of this time. As her, he had a great success for his children's portraits.
