Portrait of Queen Marie Leczynska after the painting by Jean-Marc Nattier of 1748. This portrait representing the Queen is the last one for whom she agreed to pose. The miniature is thus posterior at this date but its pictorial touch dates it of the very first years of the second half of 18th. century. Marie Leszczynska (or Marie Leczinska) was born on June 23rd, 1703 to Trzebnica and died in June 24th, 1768 in Versailles. Daugther of king of Poland (on 1704 - 1709) Stanislas Leszczynski, Queen of France by her marriage with Louis XV in 1725. Due to her son the Dauphin Louis, who married Marie-Josèphe of Saxony, she is the grandmother of last three kings of France Louis XVI, Louis XVIII and Charles X.TECHNIQUE:
