DESCRIPTION :

Beautiful portrait by François Dumont, painted around 1780, showing a Lady in bust, wearing a straw hat, wrapped by a blue silk, matched with her dress.

The miniature kept its frame of origin, says "fausse-montre" (false-watch) , finely chiselled of twigs and musical instruments.

It is hung on to a chiselled and golden "chatelain"e of the 18th century, as well as were worn those  "false watch" frames in the time.


CONDITION: Very good original condition. Cleaned by Dr. Bernd Pappe.
