Even there, Périn knew how to give to his model, a smile full of kindness, an expression of unique serenity, talent that he shares with his great friend the painter Alexandre Roslin.

The garden is, by its virtuoso technique, a foretaste of the future impressionism.

The miniature rose on its snuff box double face of origin. In the lapel of the box is a work of embroidery on silk, undoubtedly, a needlework of the portrayed lady, mounted up with the portrait on the same snuff box to make the present even more personal.
