DESCRIPTION :

Beautiful floral still lyfe, in miniature, bouquet in a vase and a bird's nest.

To move closer to works of Jan-Frans Van Dael (1764-1840), specialist of this Art at that time. Maybe a miniature of his pupils?

We know that the artist had numerous pupils in his studio of the Sorbonne in Paris (see last picture : the artist's studio). He attracted a feminine clientele among which the duchess de Berry or Empress Joséphine. His studio was seen frequently by Ladies of the high society, of which some exposed to the Salon.
