Large miniature resuming partially the painting of François Édouard Picot showing the actor Francis Joseph Talma (1763-1826), in theatrical costume.

The beauty of this  miniature make it signed by the past with  an  apocryphal signature of Isabey.

Talma was the most famous comedian of his time, protected by Napoleon Bonaparte, he re-formed profoundly the Theater in France.
