Important miniature signed to the left by the Chevalier de Guérard.

Arrived at Vienna in 1793 with Prince Auersperg, the Chevalier de Guérard became the official painter of the Court of Austria. He made numerous portraits of children and grandchildren of Empress Maria-Theresa of Habsburg.

Let us indicate among others, signed by his hand, portraits of Maria Theresia of Naples with her seven children, of Empress Maria Ludovica surrounded with her children, of the children of Francis II of Austria, of those of Maria Carolina of Naples ...

It was moreover in Naples where Emile Bernhard Chevalier de Guerard finishes his days.

It is certain that more elaborate searches will give the names of both girls with their younger brother, in this important miniature at the audacious composition.
