DESCRIPTION :

The self-portrait of Aubry is in the  Louvre museum, but we know seven versions of this miniature.

The one in Wallace Collection by Mrs Jacquotot, one by Mathie, one monogrammed  J.a.. (Tansey Collection), an unknown  in E.P.S collection., another unknown sold in Brest in 2012 and finally this version.

We can wonder : did Aubry, as Augustin, give his portrait to copy to his pupils?


CONDITION: Perfect original condition. Artist's join upper and lower part. (dusts, never opened)
