FRENCH SCHOOL 18th CENTURY, DOUBLE PORTRAIT, MINIATURE CIRCA 1788
Double miniature portrait paints by 1788. Two young women are sat on a lined sofa. One of them wear a mourning dress, she is consoled by her friend who holds her hand. Both carry wide hats of the years 1787-1789. The mourning hat have a wide edge, the artist in taken care of underlining the projected shadow on the top part of her face.TECHNIQUE:
